Volunteering at New Earth BioMed

New Earth BioMed is a new nonprofit corporation and many opportunities exist for getting involved as a volunteer.

Two tasks that we definitely need your help with are spreading the word about our efforts and fund raising. If you have a web page, blog, or social media account, please link to us (see our Facebook and Twitter links at the footer of each page). If you belong to a cancer mailing list, and you think it is appropriate, please post a short description of our work to the list along with a link. Can you send a note to friends, local media, or local companies, suggesting that they link to us, interview us, or donate? Any networking help that you can provide is important and greatly appreciated.

Can you organize a fund raising event in your area? We can make suggestions on how to best promote it. And we can list it on our web page. Or do you know someone who organizes fund raising events? Perhaps they would be interested in holding an event on our behalf.

Some skills/help we are particularly interested in are listed below.

Web related: editors, writers, graphic artists, site designers, WordPress experts, programmers, social media aficionados
Media: photographers, film makers, animation artists, radio and TV interviewers, media networkers, public relations experts
Fund raising: event organizers, clerical help, booth staffers
Programming: programmers with experience in python, C, C++, R, Java, LabVIEW, and other languages
Scientific/Technical: technical writers, grant writers, laboratory assistants, researchers in biology, pharmacology, computer science, medicinal chemistry, statistics, physics (lasers), bioinformatics, pharmacokinetics, analytical chemistry, and oncology
Clerical/Office: office managers and assistants
Professional/Management: business managers, executives with drug discovery/development experience, executives with regulatory experience, board developers, financial planners, lawyers, accountants

Lastly, we would be interested in hearing from documentary makers who might like to chronicle our journey over time.
